We are excited to announce Power-Pole as an official sponsor for EKF!

Power-Pole provides anglers with the most essential anchoring systems in the sport of bass fishing, from their bigger hydraulic anchors to their electric Micro Anchor, which are ideal for kayaks.

And at each event, we will be giving away to one lucky angler a Micro Anchor system and 8-foot Ultra-Lite Spike!

We’re looking forward to working with this amazing company and showcasing their products to you all. Give them a like/follow!

February Membership Drive!

Good afternoon!

Starting February 1, our new paid membership model will go live on Fishing Chaos. This annual membership fee will be $50. It will expire each year on December 31 and will not auto-renew.

To show our appreciation for those who sign up early, we will be offering this free and exclusive members-only T-shirt to anyone who joins in the month of February!

This high-quality, black Gildan heavy cotton shirt will only be available during this membership drive!

We will have a limited number of shirts available at the upcoming New England Fishing Expo in Marlborough, MA, February 2–4, so be sure to come by our booth and sign up (or show us that you’ve signed up) and grab a shirt if we have your size.

If we run out of shirts or don’t have your size at the show, we will be placing an additional order at the end of the month and will mail them out once the shirts are printed.

Our shirts are done by Triumph Printing Co. Check them out if you’re looking for quality screenprinting.

The artwork was done by Stevie Weeks. If you like it and are interested in commissioning some work, please reach out and we will connect you with him.

2023 Elite Kayak Fishing Schedule Announcement

Are you ready?

Elite Kayak Fishing Gets Harpooned!

At Elite Kayak Fishing, we pride ourselves on doing things a bit different. Focusing on the community aspect of our sport and striving to ensure that every person that fishes our events has fun and gets a chance to meet anglers from around the region.

For 2022, we are pleased to announce a brand-new title sponsor, one we think lines up with these ideals perfectly, and one who will help us make this season unforgettable!

Harpoon Brewery is an employee-owned business out of Boston. You may have heard of them. They received brewing permit #001 in Massachusetts in 1986 and have been helping shape the craft beer industry in the Northeast and across the country for over three decades.

Like we wanted to change the scope of tournaments in our region, Harpoon has changed the scope of the brewing industry. Love Beer. Love Life. A motto that they live by, and a motto that we at Elite Kayak Fishing can get behind.

So for 2022, look forward to awesome things from our partners. We will be working very closely with all of them to ensure that this is the best season this region has ever seen!

Now go out and grab a Harpoon Big League because you have made it!

Championship Changes

After careful consideration, we have made some changes to our upcoming championship event on Lake Champlain.

QUALIFICATIONS

Originally, to qualify for our championship, anglers needed finish in the top ten or acquire 800 total Angler of the Year points in our first four regular-season events.

After speaking with a number of anglers, gathering insight from our sponsors, and going over the numbers again, we realized we needed to bring the goal posts a little closer.

Now, anglers who finished in the top ten at any of our first four events or acquired 600 Angler of the Year points are qualified to fish Lake Champlain in September!

To see if you qualified, click here to check out our current Angler of the Year standings.

If you have fished our events and do not see your name listed, please follow this link and become an Elite Kayak Fishing club member on the Fishing Chaos website. It’s free!

BOUNDARIES

After experiencing the Hobie B.O.S. event on Lake Champlain back in June, seeing anglers traveling hundreds of miles to pre-fish different parts of the lake, we decided to add a hard boundary for our championship event.

For our 2021 championship, we will now be focusing on the northern half of the lake.

The northern boundary remains unchanged and is the United States/Canada line. Don’t cross it (seriously, you could be arrested). The new southern boundary is the Ausable River on the New York side across to Colchester Point and Malletts Bay on the Vermont side. Anything south of that line is now out of bounds.

New boundary line for our 2021 championship

We will be returning to Lake Champlain for our 2022 championship, and for that event we will focus on the southern end of the lake, where the northern boundary will be the Ausable River across to Colchester Point.

We won’t make a habit of changing things so late in the season, but with this being our first season, having gained experience and knowledge from our first four events, we feel these changes make sense and will be a benefit for all those involved.

We hope you understand. If you have any questions, please reach out.
